Check-in

Because we are not a hotel, we do not have a 24 hour reception desk. That is why we ask you to let us know your approximate time of arrival beforehand. That way we will make sure our staff is available to check you in immediately.

Guests can check in between the hours of 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

If you arrive in Florence before check-in you may come to our reception at Novella House to leave your luggage until your accommodation is ready for entry. Our reception is very near both the train and bus stations.

Il Gigliolo is situated on a very small street, Via Chiasso degli Armati, that starts at number 7 on Via del Giglio. One of our staff will meet you at this crossroad to take you to the apartment.

Please note: we ask that payment be made at the time of check-in in euro. We do not accept credit cards.

Check-out

The apartment must be available for cleaning by 11 a.m. the day of departure. In the event you wish to stay after check-out time, the following supplement will be charged:

• €50 if the apartment is left between 11 a.m. and 12 a.m.
• the cost of a night if you leave after 12 a.m.

However, this full payment of one night does not give client the right to stay the entire night.

You can leave your luggage in our storage room at Novella House until 7 p.m. the day of departure.

From the Airport

To reach the apartment from the airport guests can take a taxi (roughly € 25).
Otherwise there is a bus VolaBus that runs between the airport and SMN train station. The bus leaves the airport every 30 minutes. R/T tickets are € 10. One way tickets are € 6. From the train station follow the directions below.

The apartment is 5 minutes on foot from the train station. Leave the station through the main door (trains at your back). Cross the piazza in the direction of the Church. The church will be to your right, Piazza dell’Unità Italiana to your left. Take via Panzani. The first street to the left is Via Del Giglio. One of our staff will wait for you at number 7 on Via del Giglio.

Being that Il Gigliolo Apartment is located in the ZTL (resident parking and driving area) of the center which is monitored by cameras, travellers arriving by car must go to one of the designated parking lots in the area.
These lots will communicate the license plate to authorities so that tickets will not be issued.
There are many lots in the area.
Guests have 3 hours from driving under the cameras in the ZTL zone to reaching the garage.

Note: everytime guests enter the ZTL zone they must comunicate this to the parking attendant at the garage so that he or she may send the license plate number to the authorities so that a ticket will NOT be issued.

The cost to leave your car from a 24 hour period is between € 25 – € 35, depending on the size of the car (tax ZTL € 1).

We highly recommend that you book the garage before arriving to get the best price available.
